About the Role:

The Chicago-based Marketing Specialist will fill an integral role on our marketing team by managing projects and team deadlines, performing audience and partner research and analysis, collaborating across departments, and contributing to campaigns as needed. The ideal candidate understands the difference in how to connect with B2B and B2C audiences, and will be guided by marketing principles as their work promotes business growth and operational efficiency within the company. Successful candidates will be highly organized, innately curious, and strategic thinkers. A love of marketing and its potential to impact brand growth and the customer experience is imperative.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage project timelines and status reports
  • Become a subject-matter expert on our market, industry, audiences, and competition
  • Research and qualify potential Purveyors and partners, delivering first-level analysis
  • Write, organize, and maintain Purveyor and partner profiles/data
  • Develop and maintain strategic marketing briefs 
  • Collaborate with sales and operations to streamline processes and maintain cross-team alignment
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives in marketing and across teams
  • Use available data to make educated decisions and diagnose relevant issues
  • Update website gift content, including descriptions and images
  • Provide our creative partner agencies with project direction on audiences, goals, necessary assets, and value propositions
  • Maintain knowledge of our customer needs and internal processes to share with internal and external partners

 

Must-Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 1+ years relevant marketing or internship experience
  • A passion for organization and project management
  • Strong research and analytical skills coupled with a love of learning
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills 
  • A team player with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Experience managing concurrent projects
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of marketing metrics
  • Basic to intermediate ability to present data (spreadsheets and presentations)
  • Attention to detail, ability to flex strategies when needs change
  • Strong motivation for personal growth 
  • Current U.S. work authorization

 

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience working in a CRM like Hubspot 
  • Experience working in ecommerce platforms like Shopify
  • Comfort using Google Analytics
  • Experience contributing to marketing content initiatives
