Divine Chocolate is co-owned by 85,000 farmer members of Kuapa Kokoo, a cooperative in Ghana that supplies the cocoa for each bar of Divine. As owners, they get a share in the profits, a say in the company, a voice in the global marketplace, and ultimately, more control over their own destinies. It’s a great example of how businesses can do their part to improve the livelihoods of farmers who supply the land, labor, and knowledge that produces great food.
Sales of Divine Chocolate bars fund investments in women’s training and mentorship programs so they can fill leadership positions throughout the organization and generate more income for themselves and their families. All Divine chocolates is a fair trade certified B-Corp.
