Fair Anita seeks to empower women artisans around the world by supporting fair trade practices that provide dignified employment to marginalized women. Fair Anita works in partnership with over 8,000 women to create beautiful and fashion-forward accessories and jewelry. Artisans not only receive a fair wage for their work, but they also receive health insurance, welfare assistance, educational scholarships, and ongoing training.
Fair Anita establishes long-term relationships with artisan cooperatives in developing countries like India, Guatemala, Ethiopia, and Chile in order to create stability in the lives of the women artisans, many of whom live in poverty. Stable employment allows these women to become leaders in their own communities. These beautiful pieces represent job training, economic opportunity, and a chance at a new life for thousands of women across the globe.
