Started in 1997 when four families came together with the idea of improving the lives of small scale farmers in developing countries through trade, Level Ground’s first fair trade initiative was buying coffee from a cooperative in Colombia. Since then farmer relationships have blossomed in Bolivia, Peru, Ethiopia, Tanzania the D.R. Congo and beyond.
Level Ground’s fair trade premiums are directed to different projects based on the needs of the farmers and now include over 200 scholarships a year. Whether enjoying tea from India or dried fruit from Columbia, all Level Ground products are direct fair trade and organic, with no additives or preservatives.
