Under the Nile

20 years ago Janice Masoud was struggling to find clothing for her babies that did not irritate their sensitive skin, so she set out to make her own, researching fabrics and investigating organic cotton production in Egypt. From swaddles to stuffed animals, all Under the Nile products are made using biodynamic farming, and ethical practices. They support many initiatives including the Sekem School and the Chamomile Program that together provide children in Egypt with education, three meals a day, wellness and emotional support, and more, as well as the 13 Villages Project, which allows women to work from the comfort and safety of their own villages handcrafting baby toys.
