Peter Workman founded Workman Publishing Co. Inc. back in 1968 and it has grown to be the largest independently owned trade book publisher in the United States. Peter has since passed, and today, his wife and business partner Carolan runs the show, still staying true to Peter’s inspiring words and values: “Be accessible, not elitist; open, not snobbish. Publish books that are useful, practical, give good value, and respect the reader’s intelligence—and wallet.”
Emma Farrarons is an author with The Experiment, a distributed client of Workman Publishing. She is a gifted French illustrator and graphic designer. Originally from the island of Cebu in the Philippines, Emma has since lived in Paris, Edinburgh, Sweden, and London. She is passionate about mindfulness and sharing this with others through her work, which is inspired by French, Scandinavian, and Japanese art and design.
