Aaron Draplin and Jim Coudal founded Field Notes back in 2007 with support of the design firm, Coudal Partners. What started as a dream to create “an honest memo book worth fillin’ up with good information” has blossomed into a booming business known for their signature vintage-inspired notebooks. Field Notes are uniquely inspired by the classic promotional memo books that were distributed to American farmers for the last hundred years by agricultural companies. Each Filed Notes notebook is produced with the goal of “rescuing” these memo books from obscurity, bringing them back to life in offices and pockets across the nation.
