Marwen educates and inspires underserved young people by providing free visual arts classes to underserved Chicago youth in grades 6–12. For those interested in pursuing careers in the visual arts, or wishing to continue their education beyond high school, Marwen also provides free college and career counseling to high school students and their families. Afterschool and weekend courses offer hands-on experience in a wide range of media to students of any and all levels of experience and skill.
Students learn from—and work with—practicing artists, using professional tools and techniques to make original creations. The fruit of their creativity can be yours through a sampling of greeting and thank you cards with students’ graphic designs. As you enjoy a beautifully designed card made by a Marwen student, you’re enabling Marwen to offer free visual art programs to underserved youth.
